I was blessed with another year in my thirties on Friday. Birthdays are a lot different now than they were in college. In college, I was abducted while hiking with friends in the woods at night, blindfolded, and thrown in a trunk. I was then driven to an undisclosed location for a surprise birthday party.
That was definitely a surprise!! Thankfully I didn't pee in my pants :D.
Sophie kept telling me "Birday" and "Happy". Not usually together, but I understood :). We ate lunch at P.F. Chang's. Sophie loved the Lo Mein with chicken. Ron and I shared the P.F. Chang's for Two Meal. Yummy! I <3 my Mommy necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs that Sophie and Eli got me. Ron gave me a gift card for much needed clothing that does not have spit up stains.
We had a busy morning on Saturday. We started it off at the Charlotte Nature Museum for the Party Cloudy Breakfast to celebrate Groundhog Day. It was the perfect size museum for Sophie. She loved it! We will definitely go back when we have more time.
Then we went to the Circus. Eli cried when he wasn't sleeping. Sophie was mesmerized. She LOVED the elephants. I knew she would. She started talking about "elphants" that morning and HAD to wear her and jeans that both have elephants on them (pink and green elephants!). At the very end she fell asleep. It was way past her nap, and very stimulating. Then we ate a late lunch at Kabob Grill. Granted it's not Greek Fiesta, but it's still pretty good. Then we came home and I got to take a much needed, wonderful nap while Sophie slept and Ron had Eli downstairs. I didn't want to wake up.
We wrapped up birthday weekend by worshipping our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with the Body at Christ Community Church.
A great end to a great birthday weekend!
