A Twist on Sand in the Sand Table

Sophie received a Sand and Water Table for Christmas last year. During the snow, I put snow in the sand side for sensory play. She LOVED it! After seeing this post, and then this post, I knew that Sophie needed to play with flour. Outside. In her sand table.

This would be after she played with the flour that morning. Needless to say she had fun :).

She was covered.

Of course she was eating it!!

Mommy wised up after nap and put an apron AND a bib on her.

Scooping the flour

It was a big hit!!

She LOVED the flour. Even though she now has sand in her sand table, she still talks about the flour. I thought about adding coffee beans, but wasn't sure about caffeine being absorbed through her skin. Any other ideas?

**Just a note. I did have to take out the flour after she finished playing with it that day. My wonderful husband reminded what happens when flour and dew (a.k.a. water) mix and how impossible that would be to clean up in the morning. True. Very true. One of the many reasons why I love him :).
