Two Months Old Today!

At two months, Sophie...

• can hold her head up pretty well. She still has her bobble head moments, but for the most part she does great.
• is smiling at us. She has the cutest open mouth smile!
• is laughing (I think) or is at least trying to. But I guess it could be gas.
• loves to stand and jump when we hold her in our laps. She mainly jumps with her Daddy.
• is not really interested in her paci.
• will sleep on her back, but prefers her side.
• LOVES the ceiling fan (whether it's on or not). Seriously, she looks for it when we enter a room and she grins so big when she sees it.
• has found her hands and likes to suck on them. Most of the time when she does this she is hungry but other times she just wants to suck. 
• is still nursing every two hours. Although there are times when she will go 3-4 hours.
• is much more alert than she was at one month.
• loves her puppy.
• loves the animals that go round and round on the swing. She smiles and talks to them.
• favorite "word" is unga. Second is buh. She likes to coo.
• received her first certificate. It was from our infant massage class.
• likes to snuggle into your neck.
• has been very gassy the past couple of weeks.
• is very cuddly.
• recognizes her Mommy, Daddy, and puppy.
• definitely has her fussy moments, but there is usually something wrong.
• is still sleeping in her bassinet at night in Mommy and Daddy's room.
• has out-grown her newborn clothes and is almost too big for her 3 month outfits.
• has slept for a 5 hour stretch but that has not been consistent. It's usually more like 3 to 4 hours.
• is a very sweet baby. It is a joy to be her Mommy!

Sophie has her two month well check the first week in May.
